At the end of last year, we voted the all-new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 our first ever Bold Ride of the year for 2013. If we had known the price of this big bold ride though, we might have had second thoughts.
At $75,000, the Camaro Z/28 is monstrously more expensive than the Corvette Stingray ($51,995), Camaro ZL1 ($55,000), and even the Shelby GT500 ($55,445). And that’s without air conditioning. This purebred track car did throw down an impressive 7 minutes 37 seconds, beating supercars priced three times over the lowly Camaro (read; Lexus LFA). So Chevy does have some merit to back the insane price.
But the question really comes down to this — if you had the money, would you buy it? As we’ve already seen, the Corvette Stingray, Camaro ZL1 and GT500 are three of the most capable muscle sportscars on the market today. It’s only a matter of time before we see how the Z/28 stacks up head-to-head, and whether customers are willing to dish out some serious cash.

Lest you forget, the all-new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 comes with a 7.0-liter V8, making 500 horsepower. Not to mention a record-setting time (7:37) around the famed Nurburgring. So if you had $75K, would you buy a Z/28, or something else?
